Aluminium Greenhouse Ventilation

Natural fresh air is as important to plants as regular watering. But there’s more to ventilating your greenhouse than simply opening the door – a current of air must circulate throughout the greenhouse, removing warm air and replacing it with fresh air, especially at ground level where plants are vulnerable to mould.

With good greenhouse ventilation comes better growth and higher yields. Infestations are prevented and pollination is encouraged. It also stops your greenhouse from becoming a solar oven. Greenhouse ventilation

There are several ways in which you can optimise airflow in your Robinsons greenhouse, including:

LOUVRE VENTS

Our 6-blade louvre vents provide low-level ventilation and ensure increased levels of air circulation throughout the greenhouse. Louvre vents are also available with an optional Bayliss automatic opener.

ROOF VENTS

Warm air rises, so a roof vent is essential to allow it to escape. Roof vents can be positioned in a variety of places along the ridge of your greenhouse, although not on adjoining panels. Our roof vents come complete with an automatic opener, enabling hot air to escape as soon as a certain temperature is reached even caring for your plants when you’re not there!

ADDITIONAL DOORS

Why have just one door when you could have one at either end? Add a partition and you can turn one greenhouse into two with different climates creating different growing conditions.

Positioning your Robinsons greenhouse

Fences, hedges and walls can help protect your greenhouse against strong winds but remember to avoid siting your greenhouse in their shadow.

Roof vents

Fitted as standard with automatic openers on all Robinsons greenhouses.
  • Fresh air enters at lower levels
