Robinsons strength comes to the fore as weather worsens
December 18, 2009
Each winter sees Robinsons receive a string of endorsements from its retailers with display sites who see for themselves how strong Robinsons greenhouses really. As wind or snow sees competitor greenhouses collapse in front of their eyes, time and time again Robinsons are left standing.
Robinsons greenhouses are built to withstand the worse that the British weather can throw at it. The key to this success is the strength of our greenhouses produced through a combination of clever design, use of the best materials and thicker aluminium. The result is a range of super-strong greenhouses that out perform other aluminium greenhouses.
Strongest frames – Robinsons greenhouses has 32% more aluminium in its frames than its main competitor. This means that the frame is far stronger and consequently stands up to far stronger winds. It also means Robinsons greenhouses do not need numerous extra bracings to give extra strength – bracings that are obtrusive and add clutter.
No extra base required – Robinsons greenhouses require no extra metal base. A metal base can cause a weakness by creating a join at the crucial bottom of the greenhouse (it also creates a step to trip over and a dirt trap). Robinsons greenhouses are strong enough without a base because of the extra strong cills.
Capping and glazing strength – The Robinsons glazing system is unrivalled and legendary within the greenhouse industry. The unique capping system squashes the glass down firmly onto an air filled cushion rubber creating the best possible seal. The capping is then screwed in rather than flimsier clip in capping used by competitors.
One Robinsons retailer was so impressed they even asked if Robinsons Greenhouses are the strongest in the world? All we know is that we sell plenty to the most exposed places in Britain and they are still standing!
